If you want the highest level of timing accuracy, a 60-2 crank trigger gives that to you. Completely relying on the cam for timing introduces error. We developed this kit from the race team because we needed the most precise timing when making 2000+hp.
The location we select to cut the teeth on the FWD pulley has a small diameter. So the next best option is a 36-2 pattern. This is still far superior compared to the CAS on the exhaust cam and still give very good resolution.
This kit only uses a 36-2 reference trigger on the crank. We accomplish this by providing an ATI pulley that we machined 36-2 teeth in it. If you have an ATI pulley already, you can send it in for machining upon ordering the kit.
The crank sensor is a Motec Magnetic.
This kit is specifically designed for FWD and AWD configuration engines. The ATI pulley supplied will not fit engines using a GTi-R (54C) oil pump.
You must use either a VE (or 54C) oil collar or a DE oil collar with the oil collar spacer.
